Eventually, Matt was studying with an amazing drummer by the name if George Robinson, and around that time was when High School had started. Kendall Row, a Grateful Dead cover band was the first band to be accompanied by Matt Keller on the drums. Through High School, they played many shows, and still play together when the time is right.Being around different kinds of musicians and music, Matt decided to pick up the guitar for the first time in the summer of 2018. From there, everything moved uphill. Spending copious amounts of time in the bedroom studying the fretboard, Matt became “addicted” to the guitar, striving to learn more and more each day. It wasn’t until around 2020 that he had really decided it was time to start writing music, with this new drive to release his first album. “To The Moon” was born in 2022, the day that the class of 2022 at Keene High School walked across the stage at graduation. Since then, Matt has kept driving down the path of creation, dropping 2 more albums by 2023, a recent 10 song album called “Shelves” in 2024, and more music on the way. Currently writing from his home in Fort Collins Colorado, Matt is the lead guitarist and vocalist of the newest jam band trio in Foco called Third Turn. Third Turn has big plans to spread the music around Northern Colorado, bringing new ideas to the table every show.
